enemy at the gates

i read some of the previous threads and some of you guys talked about a movie called enemy at the gate is it a new movie and will it been shown in australia. from what i gather it’s about the seige of stalingrad is it anything like the german movie about the seige. in the german movie it’s about a group of guys that desert but are caught and are used in unwinnable battles against the reds but then they escape again but they die.
