Hi,
I saw a short article about the J-10 in Flight International. It also featured a drawing about its weapon hardpoints. The J-10 supposedly has one centreline hardpoint, surrounded by 4 fuselage hardpoints and with six hardpoints on the wings. I’m not sure if the outer wing pylons were on the wing tip (I only looked at the picture for a short moment while I was in the bookshop, didn’t have enough time to memorize the pic properly).
Well, this is very similar to the hardpoints seen on the Israeli Lavi (the J-10 is supposedly based on Lavi). Lavi has one centreline hardpoint surrounded by six fuselage hardpoints, 4 wing hardpoints and 2 wing tip launchers for AAMs. Another clue that J-10 really IS based on Lavi????
Any thoughts?
Best regards,
Ference.
