Iran is set to buy, as soon as mid year,
1. Large nuber of S300
2. Meduim size fleet of mi17
3. Some Su25
Here is the million Dollar question? Why on earth would USA make such a big deal of this, and why they keep so insistant at keeping Iran as little armed as possible.
Personaly i think it might do with fact that USA likes to have influence over every major oil producer (since they consume more than anybody else) in the world and especially in M.East. But fact is out of three in M.Eeast S.Arabia is only one that dances to their mussic. Both Iraq and Iran have other plans.
So the s300 alone might present problem to muzzeling up iran like they do to iraq ..if the need occurs to.
