The most recent issue of the sister publication Air International to arrive in the United States has an article on the Egyptian Air Force. Since the forum here at AFM is much more active (and with so many dedicated and knowledgeable people) I though this would be the place to inquire regarding the following:
1) What information do any of you have regarding
the base from which the Egyptian Air Force is
operating the Mirage 2000s?
2) What is everyone’s view of the process of the
EAF in adapting to Western aircraft? This is
with regard not only to pilot training and
quality but the all important issues of
maintenance, operations tempo, and being only
partially mission capable or being fully mission
capable.
