In a few years time australia will need new fighter aircraft to replace the hornet and F111 strike aircraft also they need new tankers as well. Australia is a vast country and the tanker and new aircraft will need long range if as i hope australia buys ex qantas 747-200 will any data recording abilities to get information on the enemy like the USAF Rivet Joint or Joint Stars This would enhance there mission capabilities.
or maybe we could use the old 707’s for that role.
and what about the RAAF’s RF111 will we also buy new recon birds as well do any of the contenders have this ability.
