RE: Forum upgrade
That would be the case if there wasn’t the need for the data to be transferred also. If we were to leave the old forum going all posts after the import would be lost, unfortunately there is no way round this, we will try and complete the transition as quickly as possible.

WebMaster

Hello everyone.
I’m on holiday in the states from tomorrow until March 3rd.
In case I can’t find you again after you’ve moved, I’d just like to say thanks, it’s been fun.

Boss
Thanks for the advanced info.
May I request that you arrange for a reminder a bit nearer the time of the shutdown / transfer ie: the day before…in BIG FLASHING DAYGLO LETTERS…cos Im sure a few will forget about it (me included !)
Hope all goes well.
As Dr Peter Venkman (AKA Bill Murray) in Ghostbusters said…”See you on the other side !
Cheers

Very good point – don’t burn the bridges Web Team, until we’ve all crossed over safely!!!

Mixtec
With respect if you want a stable forum that works then I think a short transition period of learning a new board structure is a small price to pay… do you really come here cause it looks pretty… 🙂
As I manage to get onto the AFM forum less than 20% of the time I log on I think this is a good and necessary change.
