Heliplane

I’ve found this information about the CarterCopter Heliplane, half plane, half helo. It is supposed to be a replacement for the US army’s Chinook. I believe the Chinook replacement programme is called ATR, for advanced transport rotorcraft, but I’m not sure. Another contender is a four engined tiltrotor based on V-22 technology.
