Training – No.1 Priority?

Ok, this is obviously an offshoot off several other threads:

Basically, my feeling on this issue is that:

1) Training forms an incredibly important part of any air force.
2) Without adequate training, pilots will not be able to operate their aircraft to the maximum of the aircraft’s ability.
3) However, training is NOT the most important factor affecting the quality of an airforce.
4) Neither is the quality of aircraft used.
5) The MOST important factor affecting the quality of an airforce is a COMBINATION (i HAVE used this word before, but many on this forum are incapable of reading other’s posts) of the above factors, ie:

– If you have well trained pilots flying sh*t aircraft (say, F-6s), they will not do too well against adequetely trained pilots in far more impressive aircraft (say, F-14s).
– If you have sh*t pilots flying impressive aircraft (say Su-30MK), they will not do too well against well trained pilots flying comparatively-on-paper sh*t aircraft (say, F/A-18A).
– If you have excellent pilots vs. sh*t pilots, both flying the same aircraft, the excellent pilots will win.
– If both pilots are sh*t, do not know how to fly their aircraft, or operate the radar, or fire the missiles, you’re talking about either Russia or China (sarcams again MinMiester, stop with that already).

However, where i think i lost most of you was on the definition of sh*t. I am not one who believes RuAF pilots are sh*t (ie, incabale of operating radars properly, or firing missiles etc.).

Please answer, and don’t u DARE patronise me }>.
