HyShot – Scramjet engine

Is this the world’s first working scramjet engine???
Australian scientists at the University of Queensland’s Centre for Hypersonics have designed a scramjet engine dubbed HyShot that will be tested at the Woomera Rocket Range later this year. HyShot will be fuelled with hydrogen only (completely clean, it is claimed) and will scream through the air at over Mach 8 (the engine alone, not sure about anything strapped to it).
Might be a good sign for the otherwise struggling Australian aerospace industry.
