F-4E Phantom II

I know you guys just hate it when I post about the F-4, but it has been awhile. What do you think of the F-4E model. Personally, it is my favorite variant, as I think it has the most capability. It is also F-4E’s that have some of the lowest airframe hours currently of all Phantoms, as some were built in the late 70’s. The F-4E is a multi-role fighter, and in my opinion, a pretty good one. It carries AIM-7 and AIM-9 missiles, plus Isreali F-4’s carry Python and they used to carry Shafrir missiles. Greek Phantoms will carry AIM-120 when the upgrade program finishes, although it is going through some trouble. It has that M61A1 gun that is so popular and versatile. Isreali F-4E’s use the AN/APG-76 radar, which is one of the best in the world, as it is easily on par with the AN/APG-70 in the F-15E, which is good in itself. The Greek and Egyptian F-4E’s use the AN/APG-65, which is very good for air-to-air engagements, and fairly good at air-to-ground as well. Turkish F-4E’s use the Elta radar similar to the AN/APG-76 I think. The F-4EJ’s of the JASDF use the AN/APG-66 radar, which is also a good set. I know that a lot of you don’t have a liking for the Phantom, but you must look at its good qualities. Most F-4E’s have been retrofitted with smoke-less engines, so they are harder to see now than they used to be. The have the added benefit of a two-man crew, and twin engines for greater safety. They have a great range, with a maximum combat radius of about 900 miles. The maximum air-to-air load of four AIM-7 or AIM-120 plus four AIM-9 is on par with the Eagle. I am just having such a hard time figuring out why so many people on here don’t like this plane, when it is a legend in its own time. What is so wrong with it. The only two flaws in it that I see, are the maintenance and its manuverability. It has great performance, a large amount of room for avionics and fuel. It has a good maximum weapons load of 18,700 lb. which is larger than many other fighters, including the F/A-18, Mirage 2000, Su-27, MiG-29, earlier versions of the F-16 and F-15. This post regards the F-4E model, which is the most common model in service nowadays. Just post what you think of it, or of the whole Phantom series if you like. Be honest, I won’t get mad and take offense. I just want to know why?
