Naval air surveillance incidents

Just as between subs and surface forces i am sure there have been equally close calls between maritime surveillance aircraft and warships who they have been shadowing.

IIRC, the controversial former Indian Naval chief Vishnu Bhagwat was reprimanded by his higherups for locking on to an Aussie P3C Orion which came too close when he was commanding the INS Rajput…a Kashin class destroyer.

Aussie Orions and INS ships have a pretty thorny relationship as many other incidents were reported off and on.

What has been the experience of the other countries. China / Taiwan must have seen a couple of close ones.
