LAST EDITED ON 28-Dec-00 AT 08:20 PM (GMT)[p]I would like to comment on the ‘Mystery Trail’ letter (Feedback, June 2000, p68 by Peter S Smith and Feedback, July 2000, p68 by Richard S Cliff.) On Friday February 25 at 1.00pm during our lunch break between lessons I saw the same type of trail as shown in the photo. The school I attend is located approximatly 13 miles from RNAS Yeovilton, Dorset. I, again saw the trail a week later from my house about 14 miles from Dorchester, Dorset. This time the ‘Turns’ where much sharper than before: the craft that I saw changed direction at right angles to its previous course, without reducing speed. It did not seem likely that any pilot in the craft could sustain the G forces involved, and I wonder if I might have seen a UAV. When viewed with binoculars the aircraft is of a delta configuration with a lardge air-intake under the fusalage and twin tails. I would be very interested to hear any comments on this subject.
