Future for the B52

No doubt, this aircraft has the best combat-experiences : dropping napalm in vietnam as well as carrying H-bombs around the world. Only the B52H is still in service and not as a bomber anymore, only as an airborne cruise-missile platform. Although i’ve got no doubts about it’s succeeder the B1, the B52 was and still is an impressive machine.

The B52 will probably remain in service untill 2045 (100 years old by then!!!!!), and it will also be tasked with the radar jamming role (EB 52).

P.S. During the desert storm-campaign, USAF special operations dropped pamflets with pictures of B52’s with the words ‘desert storm is comming to you’, to convince Iraqi soldiers to surrender.
