Snakeye vs. Ballute

Do many air forces still use the old Snakeye bomb-retarder fin (pop out metal drag plates) or have most gone over to the nylon ballute system (air-inflatable retarder)? In the USAF, Snakeye is basically obsolete since the BSU-49 ballute can be employed at much higher airspeeds without risk of structural failure.
Just curious.
