Is it possible to get new tech Russian aircraft like the SU30 series and other jets to compete for Western countries air defense needs? (I’m thinking large orders) Considering the following:
-Avionics and other items customized for the customers
-Component production in different customer countries
-A westernized sales team to go after potential customers.
You get the idea.
Comments? (besides the obvious “not a western aircraft, so no way”) idea. I believe a setup like this could be cheaper and competitive.
Even though this idea is fantasy, for example a replacement for USAF F-15’s which are getting old. (The current F22 order isn’t that big yet). The end result would be a batch of F22’s and SU30 or better series for the air to air mission.
