How will Australia react to growing power of RMAF and Indon.AF

With indonesia and malesia relations at all time low and almost war situation in East Teamor as well as growing tensions in other parts of indonesia, I realy wonder how Australians will react to growing strength of Malesia and indonesia In air. The OZ has had alway superiority in water and air since they are only ways of reaching mainland. Now with still very strong navy aus. is loosing it dominance in the air in region. The growing nubers of F/A-18 and mig 29(isnt it nice to be able to get both?)in RMAF are sure to prove a possible threat to RAAFs 60 F/A-18.
(By the way, it is so US type to sell planes to potential enemy of one of its longest and most faitfull alys..i hope the OZ goes to Europe for their arms in future like they did with leopards)
So the plans of both Indo. and Male. will certenly push more of that 30bill defence upgrade plan towards jets and posibly carrier since there is rich oil field in east temor sea.
So how do you guys see OZ responding to this.What equipment is possibility on their shoping list. Will Typhoon or Raptor win since US does have influence over OZ but brits are just a bit more closser. Are gripen and refaele possible choices and does sukkoyevs bid of 30MKs stands any theoreticla chances even for consideration on paper?(i doubt) Also what happend to thir AWACS order for Boeing?
