Mig-29 m and Mig-29smt

I have come across quite a few articles on the SMT version of the fulcrum. Some articles state that this version is fully tested and ready for the market while others state that this project is stillborn because of the current rift between MAPO-MIG and Russkaya Avionica. What’s the real story?

Would the M version of the fulcrum see any chance of going into production? Apparently, the FCS is not fully developed ( according to Jane’s) while other sources says that it has completed its flight testing and was set to go into production before funding ran out. Personally, the M version looks better than the ugly humpbacked SMT version.
