Afganistan – again?

Is Russia planning to involve itself in that troublesome country again?

It seems to me that the Taleban are winning against the Northern alliance and that russia doesn’t want that. Neither does Iran. Surely it is not conceivable that these two nations could join forces against the Taleban.

Actaully I think that this is all a bit far fetched. probably nobody will do anything more than supply arms to the warring sides. although there has been a lot of talk and sabre-rattling by the Ruskies.
