Of course Israel is much more powerful than the Arabs- but does that mean Israel and its western backers are invincible? The incident with the USS Cole shows most emphatically that it is not. Hence an attempt to analyse what military actions may be possible for Arabs/Palestinians to carry out in case of a broader conflict that would offset conventional Israeli superiority. Note- I am talking of strikes ONLY on military targets- no civilians are to be targeted- hence this is more of guerilla/unconventional warfare, NOT terrorism as the west may lead the media to believe:
1. Commando strikes on IDF-AF bases: though security is undoubtdely strong, send suicide squads armed with RPGs and rifles to attack forward IDF_AF bases- the squads will perish, but hits on even a couple of IDF_AF jets will be an amazing morale boost, and more importantly, force the IDFAF on the defensive.
2. truck bomb attacks on IDF barracks in Gaza and border areas. Again objective is to inflict casualties- if the IDFs raining missiles from helicopters on civil areas is legitimate, so is this.
3. Attacks on US bases in Saudi Arabia- the recent hijacking shows the high level of discontent among Saudis- leverage this to influence mujahideen to attack US equipment in Saudi bases. In particular, influence Saudi pilots to turn against the US and defect to Syria or Iraq qith their F-15s and Tornados and use these against Israel.
