Anyone into flight sims. Theres on game called Falcon 4, which focuses on a fictional war between the US/S.Korea vs. North Korea. Though such a conflict is very plausible in the near future. Since 1966, when N.Korea attacked and took control of the U.S manned vessel Pueblo (attacking forces faced no resistance) america has stationed increasing numbers of forces in S.Korea which is quite concerning. Particularly so when you consider the fact that American pilots upon being stationed in S.Korea are taught the following phrase to remember off-by-heart:
“Defend the base, accept follow on forces, and take the war north”. Such a phrase when there is no war on says quite a lot.
A war between america and N.Korea would be a very fearsome fight. Up until just a few years ago, N.Korea was producing more tanks than the rest of the world put together, and apparently it is not uncommon to see american F-16’s perform a combat take-off ( a steep sudden climb designed to thwart any possibe portable SAM’s in the bases region.
Although N.Korea’s air force consists of many dated MiG 21’s and Tu-16’s, there are a growing number of Su-27’s and MiG 29’s cropping up in their inventory, bought from Russia and China, possible allies in such a conflict.
