We live in an age of greatly reduced military threats,and strong global economy.So its difficult to expect collage graduates to spend years or a career in the military,doing nothing but fly jets.Ive heard england,canada,austrailia and south africa are all suffering from a shortage of pilots.South africa used to have,and probably still has,a citizens air defence force,with pilots that work in civilian life,and fly on a part time basis.I think this is the only way for the future of many developed counties.
