Replacement for Ka-27?

its as old as the Seahawk, but doesn’t seem to receive the same number of upgrades..

does Kamov have any upgrades or a new helicopter planned for ASW?
the land variant has gotten some criticism from Korean and Portuguese media for its operation costs.

the Wiki page has something humorous written on it

In 2011, the Portuguese government considered selling the six Kamov Ka-32 employed in aerial firefighting due to the aircraft’s reported astronomical maintenance costs. The aircraft would be replaced in its fire fighting role with the country’s aging Aérospatiale SA 330 Puma fleet, which has been deactivated following the purchase of AgustaWestland AW101.[4][5]

The astronomical operating costs mentioned are purely related to mismanagement and lack of experience of the management team in place. On both maintenance and operational sides. This is purely an opinion based on personal observation of the poster.

LOL

There’s a Ka-60K mentioned for naval use.. but does it have a folding tail?

ka-65 is supposed to be a contra rotor design not a Ka-62 design, at least based on that helicopter road map posted in Russian aviation thread

Nothing wrong with Kamov choppas its durable and proven on the field. China just recently put an order for 20 new Ka-32A11BC model.

As for something new I don’t have the answers to that. And besides I think dual rotor helicopters are just more reliable and better looking.
