Today i have found a wonderful website that has loads of pictures that i have never seen before. It’s the best site i’ve found for pictures on the conflict.

If anyone else has good sites they know of please add them.
Here is a sample of a few of the pictures available.

HMS/M Oberon glides silently back to Devonport in the late evening of 29 July 1982
A type 21 ploughing through the rough seas

The site has this as an unknown hospital ship. Anyone got any idea’s?
The website seems to say it has over 300 military sections. I’ve not looked at them so i don’t know what they are like. They seem to be in alphabetical order http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/directory/military.html

This website was linked to on the Falklands war website but I pulled it from a links folder I had so here we are anyway. It’s an excellent website and is well worth a look if you are interested in the RAF side of things. There is also another website out there about Ascension island which is also excellent but I’ve no idea where to find it again, it was a diary/blog by a couple that visited the island.

The ship is hardly unknown. It was the icebreaker “Bahia Paraiso,” which was legally operated as a hospital ship during the Falklands war. The ship apparently was built in Argentina, but was lost some years after the Falklands when she ran around and sunk!
