DIFFERENCES ON THE AVIONICS SUITES ABOARD THE GRUMMAN E-A & E-2B

Hi everyone! I am an aviation researcher from Brazil with some articles already published (you can see one of them here: http://www.laahs.com/artman/publish/article_220.shtml) and currently I am working on a book about all AEW/AWACS platforms ever built. This way, I would like to know the differences between the avionics suite aboard the Grumman E-2A and E-2B aircraft. I will be very pleased to give full credits to any contribution THANKS IN ADVANCE!;)

My seriousness regarding this project is the highest as possible;) , but I do not need a entire manual to obtain just some informations. A lot of people have helped me sending just part of such materials and I thought could occurs the same now. I have emailed to Tony, and I hope an answer. The sum of U$20 is not the question.:p

Dear Friend, Mr Di Giulian replied to my email and forwarded my questions to Mr. Pico!. Let’s wait..;)

Thats because you looked in the wrong place. If you want to reach Andy Pico you will need to try and find someone who knows where he went. I suggested Tony D because he was one of the guys who founded Warships1 and he may, and I stress may, be able to point you in the right direction. Also I suggested mailing him directly and pointed you towards a site where you could find his mail address.

I saw your post on that site and, to be honest, I dont understand your problem?. The open source material indicated is the best you’ll get generally available and you were given a link to buy a download of the E-2A/B flight manual for the tiny sum of US$20. Surely your publisher will advance you that much if you are unable to spare it?. Then again though you would have to question your seriousness in a project that you seem unwilling to invest $20 in?.

Zuyev,

I cant help you directly on this but, as the saying goes, I know a man who can.

The gentleman you need to speak to is a a guy called Andy Pico and he’s a retired USN Cdr who spent most of his time on E-2’s. I’ve not spoken to him for a few years now, but, he used to be found at warships1.com and if you contact a guy called Tony DiGiulian (email address can be found at www.navweaps.com) he might be able to steer you in the right direction.

Hope you find him and good luck with the book – let us know when you are near a publishing date.

THANKS FOR YOUR VALUABLE HELP, STEVE 🙂 I WILL BE BACK WITH SOME RESULTS…
