Humor in Uniform

Time we livened this place up a little, the world is depressive enough as it is, so lets re-visit all those old joke and share some funny pics and have a bit of a laugh again.

Here’s a pic that was sent to me from a friend who was able to catch it on camera finally- the anual Sub Race.

Perhaps the Canucks could use those in fleet service, at least they’d get some sea time instead of being in the docs all the time.

As for the Rankin Doco, yes I have seen it, I have it on video and that was a great publicity stunt for the RAN, the reality is nothing like what was in this. If you are interestyed in seeing how the RAN really operates a sub, go looking for a doco done on HMAS Otama back in the late 80’s (yes I know it’s old but worth it).

Location:

892 Squadron HMS Ark Royal, somewhere at sea.

Aircraft type Phantom F4K (FG1).

A700 entry after flight:

How Found —————– Details of fault
In flight ——————– Wings would not fold.

I kid you not, this was a real entry.

Oops, looks like HMAS Collins has lost something again, if you don’t know which one she is, just follow the trail of nuts and bolts! :dev2:

I saw a docu recently about HMAS Rankin, in one of the episodes didn’t one of her diesels decide to give up the ghost. I remember one of the crew members commenting about parts availability.
