If interested, ‘Red Star Rogue’ is debunked in this month’s Naval Proceedings (status of the 11 man KGB crew, ‘new’ location, supposed attempt to blame the Chinese for a launch against Pearl Harbor, etc.).

The HMB-1 was used for the Sea Shadow stealth ship http://w3.the-kgb.com/dante/military/hmb1.html
The Sea Shadow is now docked in San Diego, still housed in the HMB-1.

Glomar Explorer lives on as drilling ship GSF Explorer. GSF = Global Sante Fe – the owning company. Currently drilling off Turkey
Global Sante Fe website click on “Fleet Information”. Contains a link to PDF file on the Explorer.
