Bought an old copy of Australian Aviation and Defence and in it there is a story about the opening up of EEZ fishing zones and how the Australian government is going to have severe pressure trying to cope with the expansion.
They talk about the Different planes that are offered to help with patroling the EEZ, the three types mentioned are
HS 748 Coastguarder
Fokker F-27 Maritime
DHC-7 Dash 7 Ranger
Now I know that the F-27 gained some orders, but did the other two? There is a pic of the Ranger in Canadian colours, but it looks like a trials aircraft and not one that is in actual service.
Did the Coastguarder and Ranger actually mak it into service, if so by whom and how many?
