One of those "YGBSM!" items. . . (battleships)

Last night I was reading some stuff on the Mk71 8″ gun (the one that was the Mk45’s big brother and was to have been fitted to the Spruance’s among other things) and caught a bit about the possiblity of reactivating two Iowas to make up for the lack of deploying those guns and had assumed it was an old article. The Mk71 was cancelled in the late 70s IIRC. Then I wake up and see this in this morning’s paper.
