THE PURPOSE of the voyage is to train the navy ‘s newly appointed sub-lieutenants, the midshipmen and the national servicemen undergoing basic training.Training is primarily aimed at seamanship and professional skills. Gee that was a long trip for the Swedish navy, IIRC they don’t have any tankers, so that would account for so many stops, and at such varried destinations, very interesting.

Nice it must be a damn fun adventure for the private sailors on the ship 🙂 the navy get al the fun when I did my military service I where sent to *Boden* for 10 month
*Boden is the Military town from hell where it is 10 meters snow and –40 year-round 😉
