Apart from Pyotr Velikiy, does anyone know the status of repairs done to the other Kirovs?
Also, has the Russian Navy/Airfoce adopted the Kh-15/AS-16 Kickback hypersonic anti-ship missiles for service on its Tu-22M3s and Tu-160s?

I don’t think a military attaché at an embassy is representative of the economic shape of a country’s defence forces.

And anyone commenting on the topic of the Kh-15/AS-16 Missile?
Can’t say the Russian military has it bad 😛 The guy who represents some part of the Russian military here (Russian Embassy, New Delhi) drives a new E Class Mercedes.
(I’m Russian, but not with the embassy, dad is on business here).

Ushakov will be scrapped soon…
Yes, the name has already been transfered to the Sovremennyy class destroyer Besstrashny.

neh, not without accidents…
All ships not participating in the exercises of last two years, are probably in this bad state. Some of them can be retrieved by some extra funding, but some are totally lost too (that’s a statement of Russian navy commanders). I don’t know to which group Lazarev belongs. I suppose it’s still ok…

but good enough to be put to sail to bust up some US carrier group if the need be?

Laid up means, floating somewhere on a quay, not in service, yet not out of service…

Remaining one laid up? What’s that mean.. ? That’s Lazarev btw.. while I agree that Ushakov should be scrapped (probably too rusty to float) but Lazarev and Nakhimov should really be recommisioned.

Velikiy is quite active, although not fully fitted with all her proposed weaponry. (still lacking eight eight-round Kinshal VLS). As for the others, Nakhimov is under repair (and the company has received enough funding for once), Ushakov will be scrapped soon and the remaining one is laid up I think. Might be repaired although I doubt that.
