Or build my trademarked Type 46 destroyer with all Sylver A70 cells.
:(

Or fit additional cells.

Aren’t the UK purchasing these at some point? Wasn’t there something about the Type 45 destroyers operating them in the future or, don’t I know anything about it?…
Anyway, if they, UK, don’t then, it’s a bit of a shame. Like Bluewings said, it’s a real beast.
They’d have to swap out at least some of the Sylver 50 cells for Sylver 70, as the SCALP-N literally wouldn’t fit in a T45 silo at the moment.

The naval Scalp is a hell of a missile , I don ‘t understand why nobody is buying it in small numbers but France …
Here! Here! Sarko has included it in the proposed FREMM arsenal, our Navy wants it, the only minor detail is that we lack the money. 😀

Tehran or Pyongyang ? 😎
Cheers .
I’d lean towards Pyongyang, since they’re actual crazies (unlike the Iranians who are mostly posturing loudl in a region where it’s the national sport) and deserve a regime change.
Of course it’d be awesome to send the CdG over there 😎

Remember MTCR. The number of potential customers is quite small.
It’d be nice to see it bought by some of those countries instead of TLAM, though.

1000km range , perfectly autonomous (no need GPS) , both radar and IR seeker , 1m precision , really stealthy (it can ‘t be detected by AWACs even American ones) .
A real beast 🙂Cheers .
Oh, it’s just coming into service life. Plenty of time to show what it’s worth and get foreign buyers !

I thought plans for additional production contracts bit the dust during the French White paper in 2008?

from the url posted above :
France is looking to field 150 Scalp Navals on Fremm frigates starting in 2014, with the 50 submarine-launched weapons due to come into inventory in 2017.

What’s the current number that France are expected to buy?
