Matra Magic II missiles on Czech Republic's MiG-23

I am looking for some information on this matter. Some time after the cold war, the Czech Air Force certified Magic II A2A missiles on the MiG-23 “Flogger” fighters they inherited from Czechoslovakia.

I was wondering how succesfull that effort was and how many missiles were bought. I suppose they were from french Air Force’s surplus.

Initial question has been answered, in fact this can even be considered duplicate thread since there is already this one:

Thank you for your reply. I was under the impression that they were actually introduced in service. 🙂

Trials were in 1995. They were not taken into service.
