An ASTER idea?

Just a thought, what would happen if you took an ASTER-30 booster and put a suitably adapted meteor on top of it instead of the actual ASTER, would there be a performance improvement? Would there be anywhere where such a combination would be less effective than the current one? What difference would the ramjet make, I know that they have gone out of fashion for SAM’s lately but could this be an effective solution for the a hypothetical ‘ASTER-45’???
