Work collegue has lost some holiday images on a Fuji digital camera and is wondering how to recover them.
Has anybody had experience of this and how (if) you were able to recover the images. (ie what software used or was a camera shop able to help)
many thanks

I have had good results using foto recovery. That program can recover deleted fotos from SD card, PC card, Digital camera and another.

This is the one I use…

Its freeware, and I was amazed at what it recovered. Stuff I thought I had deleted months ago was all recovered!

Two thoughts:
1) I had an electronic circular only today from the people behind ZoneAlarm, offering Iolo Search and Recover 4 for £19.95. I use the full paid-for ZoneAlam, and I rather think it’s more for non-subscribers. But if it does what’s claimed for it, it could be money well-spent. http://www.iolo.com/sr/4/ I see there’s a free trial on offer, which might be useful.
2) A magazine cover disk for this month had Photorecovery on it, which I used successfully to retrieve some images from the apparently corrupted memory card in my son’s phone. Can’t find the disk now, but I think this is it: http://www.lc-tech.com/software/prwindetail.html
Fingers crossed!

I downloaded Pc inspector smart recovery from here for free:

And it has done a good job of recovering files for me. It is a bit slow though, i reacon 1gb an hour.

May be worth trying this programme:

I can’t remember if there is a limit to the size of data you can recover using this free version, but if it works and there seems to be a good chance it will recover everything then may be worth buying it for full version.
I don’t recall it ever bringing down spyware or the like with it, but make sure anti-spyware/anti-virus is up to date just in case.
It’s also worth running this on your PC to remind yourself exactly how much stuff you think has gone…hasn’t!!
