Well done to Phil and the team for another excellent evening out in west London. Once it got a bit dark the ETPS/QinetiQ RJ100 was lit up, inside and out. The Vigilant T.1 was first to run its engine followed by the 47Sqn C-130K Hercules for possibly its last public appearance before the K model goes Out of Service at the end of the month. Although it was dark and difficult to see, a black cloud of exhaust fumes from the four Allison turboprops hung over the pan and especially noticable if you looked up at the lights. The EC 725 Caracal (Super Puma) wound up its rotor blades and extended it refueling probe a couple of times and finally the Firecat fired up. The Met police EC145 helicopter dropped in for a short visit as well as the London Air Ambulance MD 902 Explorer. Photos taken using the ‘High ISO Noise Reduction’ function on the Sony Alpha A-58 camera and in the order they were taken.
