Just the day before the show it was announced that this would be the last ever air show at Leuchars..
I never went in as the flightline faces south, so, kept myself south of the runway to shoot, not the best Leuchars ever to bow out on, quite poor really, relying heavily on civil aircraft to make the numbers up.. Flying displays were minimal too, Sun did appear now and again but cloud was a problem.. anyways……….

Sorry Wilko for the late reply…. well not south of the actual runway (Not without a boat) i meant south of the approach line (Guardbridge) Cheers

I know this is a silly question but -how do you get ‘south of the runway’ without getting (a) arrested or (b) your feet very wet ?????

Thanks for the kind comments, Unfortunately the show wasn’t really a classic, sign of the times I guess, very surprised that zero participation by the USAF, The Viggen for me gave the best show of the day, at one point it horsed VERY low west to east full afterburners on!!… sound of several car alarms ensued after 😮
