I don’t post photo’s very often because, although I’m enthusiastic, I’m not up to the standards of what is normally produced here. Having said that, here’s a selection of the images I took which, to me, show just what a magical place Old Warden can be.
Nice displays of some unique aircraft, a beautiful setting and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. I’m really glad I’m managing to get back there these days.
A nice tribute was paid to Tony Haig Thomas who retired from his post as Aviation Trustee.
So, on with the motley…..

More to follow.

My one niggle is that your pic of the Vans RV6 doesn’t show just how purple it really is:D (should be sponsored by Dairy Milk if you ask me).

Lovely photos of a lovely day, I will post a few of mine later too.
I totally agree with Adrian about the Edge 540 too, I winced a few times when engine cut during some parts of the routine, great little display. It certainly lived up to the registration of G-EDGY.
Hope to see more of your photos soon Kev, What camera are you using now?

No worse than mine, Kev! Don’t forget that the pros not only have all the top kit but also all the experience as well. My one niggle is that your pic of the Vans RV6 doesn’t show just how purple it really is:D (should be sponsored by Dairy Milk if you ask me). and your middle pic of the SE5a is spiffing (so says SWMBO, the resident Biggles collector).
Kermit Weeks seemed to be having a whale of a time as well, a very quietly-spoken chap.
The Edge 540 was the only thing that scared me more than the EoN Primary – the aerobatics it can pull off can be summed up in three letters – WTF?

Wonderful record of what was clearly a marvellous day. What a diversity of classics. So many and so nostalgic. It is invidious to choose but if I had to pick a couple the two Provosts and the last shot of all are a joy. Thanks for sharing them.
