I guess a lot of better images than mine will be posted shortly, but here are a few from the Biggles Biplane / WW1 flightline…….
An unprecedented line-up of four Fokker Triplane replicas, all aiming to target the BE in the Great War section of the air show!

Display brief with members of the Great War Display Team

Then the walk-through. Practice makes perfect 😉

Dan Griffith gets airborne in Paul Ford’s DR-1

SE5s scramble, or whatever SE’s do!

Bounced by a BE? The shame of it!

The tables turned….

Matt Boddington becomes Fokker fodder (again)

Timely intervention….

the saturday evening WWI practice was superb to watch over a beer and that excellent BBQ laid on by the Aviator.
The whole experience was fantastic. Even as a resident (of sorts) and knowing what kind of a show it was going to be I was still very impressed. The organisers did a superb job. Blue Max, Low – N – Slow, Texantomcat, Patch, Eric, Ken, Damien to name just a few deserve a real pat on the back.
The pilots did a magnificent job.
superb location, superb organisation – Superb weather
well done to all involved.
thanks also go to Shirley and Marge for feeding us all on the Sunday over at the museum which was very well supported during both days

As well as the WW1 display Sywell Air Show scored on its variety. How about this lot?

I am sure there will be more comprehensive coverage to follow, but wow. What a great day!
