Well worth the trip. Could not have wished for better weather. It must have been very warm but a nice breeze and low humidity made for a sweat free day and saturated blue sky.
Thanks
Martin

La Ferte Alais
Nice photos. I was there on the Saturday when the weather was great but hot enough to make heat haze a problem with the photos.
I camped there on Friday night so got around early on Sat and had a good look at the Spit which I can confirm as a replica, a very good one.
The Sopwith 1 1/2 struttter flew on Friday evening as the sun was setting and attempted to after the Patrouille on Saturday. As it lined up for take off the engine stopped, it seemed to simply stop and whilst it started a short time later, prudently it was not flown and it taxied back to the parking area.
Anyone know a registration for that one please

Superb shots. Thanks for posting.
Can never understand why all this stuff can never be persuaded to cross the Channel?

The P38 is coming back to Legends this year and the S38 Flying Boat is coming too. This as the first Flamant I have seen at a show. If one or both could come over to Flying Legends that will be a great addition.
I remember a Nord Noratlass some 20 years ago at a Middle Wallop show but I do not know if it is still flying.
A few more. More can be seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/martin_a_o_eames/sets/

I hope we get weather like that at FL;)! This show had a surprising mix. Would love to see some of those in the UK. Those Flamants would be nice at Legends. And that Paris, maybe at Duxford later in the year?!!!!
All stunning shots and the take off shot of the Hawk 75 looks stunning, nice to see that she’s out in good weather from Dux

Thanks for this very nice set of shots! Miles… well, kilometres ahead of mine anyway. 🙂
I drove there with my grandfather the Sunday and a couple of clouds dropped some shadows here and there. The show may have delivered a bit less than the Saturday as we did not have any Grizzly and one of the Rafale’s engines apparently had a problem, making its display much shorter than planned.
This was no Bourget though, and this airshow did not fail to deliver in both quality and quantity when it comes to historic aircraft!
For me the highlights of the show were the Sea Fury, the Habicht glider and Red Bull’s P-38.
All in all, well worth the traffic jam at the entrance!
