Afternoon all,
these are my shots from the fantastic VAC and Daffodil fly-in held at Fenland airfield on 14th April. A great selection of types were present and despite a poor weather forecast, the field was full by lunchtime. With aircraft still arriving, the marshallers had to “start using our imagination” to get everything parked.
Several Austers stand out among the visitors.
There were a few aircraft in military markings, representing the Royal Australian Navy, RCAF, Portuguese AF, Dutch Navy, Army Air Corps and USAAC, while the Yugoslavian Kraguj was visible in the Hangars behind.
This is the link to the relevant set on Flickr:-

I also attended the ‘Spotters Day’ the previous weekend, and shots from that event can be seen here:-

All hangars were open, and the Kraguj was outside for engine runs.
Just a shame the weather wasn’t better over both weekends!
Cheers
Alan
