dark light

Bournemouth Museum Night photo shoot I report.

Despite -5C temperatures eight hardy photographers attended the first Bournemouth Aviation Museum Night photo shoot.

The format of the evening was after a short briefing from BAM staff, aircraft were lit using portable lighting in turn. Where possible all barriers, steps and flight tags were removed allowing uncluttered photography. A nice touch was a sheet giving hints and tips to get the the best out of night photography and a welcome cup of coffee šŸ™‚

The event lasted about two and half hours with hot drinks soup and filled rolls included in the price of Ā£10 this event was true value for money and I’m sure will become a popular event as more photographers wish to try out the “night shoot” phenomenon. Thanks must go to Howard J Curtiss, Ian Haskell, Trustees at BAM but a big thanks must go to the ladies who provided the hot drinks and food, true life savers on a cold night in Dorset.

Enough waffle on with the photos…

I like the Meteor NF.14. Something just right about seeing it lit up in its natural nocturnal environment.
