Yesterday, at Chatellerault in the Vienne, saw the annual RSA Rassemblement des avions de train classique – or, in other words, the local flying club’s tail dragger fly-in! There have not been so many RSA fly-ins in western France this year. Maybe its the weather, maybe the cost of avgas. At this one numbers were down on previous years. Probably it would have been dull to many – no war birds, no flying displays, no broadcast commentary in a french accent(!) – but for those – I know that there aren’t may – who can delight in homebuilt, microlight, ultralight and light aircraft, ideally of a little idiosyncrasy or vintage, maybe the following few snapshots will have a little appeal.
If they are of interest and anyone would like to see more, do let me know and I’ll endeavour to oblige.
