The weather was not kind to photographers. Much high cloud which cleared in the afternoon so we were looking into the sun.
Here are a few which haven’t appeared yet.

The BBMF were short of the Spifire and Hurricane on Saturday so we got a little extra from the Lancaster in the form of a topside view as he turned in.
Unfortunately we were by now looking right into the sun and the exposure was tricky. The original was almost dark.

Saturday ended with a microlight flying on formation with geese.
An sight which was even more amazing when the geese moved out of formation whilst he turned at the end of each run and then reformated for the next run. The wind was too strong for him to display on Sunday.

Guy Westgate put on a stunning display of glider aerobatics in which he got the glider to rotate about its centre whilst inverted. It looked impossible to do without a tail rotor. Apologies for the grainy picture but it was a long way up at the time.

The Swordfish made a welcome return

A couple of views of the Buchon

Mustang Janie with Dave Evans (not Stuart Goldspink as first posted – thanks Yak11) gave a spirited display

Nice to see the Sea Vixen again

And finally a pretty picture with the Swordfish
(with a spectators inconvenient head surgically removed!)

The geese/microlight shot reminds me of the film ‘Fly Away Home’

The geese are great! Nice shots from what looked like a good weekend.

Yes indeed, the geese are in front of the microlight. They take up different positions in response to his signals.
According to the commentator he teaches them on the ground by having a ‘walk through’. No mention of how he does this or how long it takes.

I suspect that might not be Stuart Goldspink unless someone isnt telling me something. If I were a betting man I would say it was Dave Evans displaying Janie… Maybe Dave should have kept his beard for the weekend…
Some great pics, much better than mine…
Oooh! Clanger time. I’ve amended the post. Thanks
