Militair vliegspektakle Aviodrome 20-8

This weekend was the militair vliegspektakle at the Aviodrome in Lelystad the Netherlands. There where some great aditions to the static display, the flying was at a minimum as it was not an airshow. Some of the aircraft did fly, P-38 of the Flying Bulls, Skyraider and the Flamant.

Well spotted, they had an tyre burst just outside the gate of the aviodrome. It was replaced in no time.

A few formations were flown on Sunday over the the lakes close to Lelystad, but the weather was dark and dull.

I was some 20kms away from Lelystad, at home, but was able to shoot some farway pics as the DC2, Lightning and Piaggo or FW trainer formated over the lakes. In sunnyweather both of these unique silverposlished aircraft would have made for excellent pictures!

Later on, the Flamant also formated with the same trainer.

It’s a real pity that the National Aviation Museum Aviodrome is never able to host a full blown airshow at this active GA airport.

”Better half an egg than a empty shell” is what we say though..

Thanks for posting these pictures. I really wanted to go to this event, but had other appointments in my agenda.
