I’m baffled. The commentators said that the weather on Sunday was much better than the previous day but the photos seem to show that the only sun was on Saturday – the day I didn’t go because the forecast was diabolical.
Infuriatingly there was sunshine a few miles to the south that made it to Kemble as the show closed!
Here’s a few from me that others haven’t shown.
Jonathan Whaley get us all a worrying time as he took off with Miss D ‘dumping’ fuel. Trouble with a sticking valve apparently. The same thing had happened on Saturday.
John’s edit: for a comprehensive explanation follow the link given by Flygirl (Anna) in her reply below

Look at the top of the fin. What are the strange marks? Ripples, reflections or fuel?
Juliette Fleming in the Hawk put on the best Hawk display that I have seen and I even managed a couple of topside shots.

Thanks for posting that link Anna… After the tragedy in South Africa, seeing the hunter flying with an obvious fuel leak was definately cause for concern! PLeased it was not a major problem and hope she is back flying soon.

That’s a pretty comprehensive explanation and I’m glad to know there was no danger of running out of fuel.
Thanks
