Russians at Old Warden – 01May11

I’d forgotten how agile the An-2 is and was well impressed by the display especially the climb to height, point nose into wind, throttle back and hover over the airfield. The Po.2 is a slightly larger aeroplane than I thought it was but very nice to see and hear it flying. An excellent well done to all the pilots who braved the winds and the wing walkers who had their work cut out today. Have come away with a red face but not sure if it’s sunburn or wind burn.
