Visted this museum in Wernigerode at the northern edge of the Harz mountains. Good collection of Cold War era aircraft from both sides of the Iron Curtain.
Most of the exhibits are well restored and well cared for. Beautiful examples of Mig-21, Mig-23, plus a Fiat GR-91 on a stick. Also enjoyed the F-104 with all the “doors” open.
Wernigerode is a lovely town, with the terminus of a narrow guage steam railway that runs up to the Brocken, highest point in the Harz. (Sorry to drift off-topic).
