As things are a bit quiet on the airshow front I thought that this might be of interest. It’s a scan from a slide taken about 10 years ago (not 100!)
Deperdussin flown by Andy Sephton at Old Warden. A few cars and spectators have been surgically removed.

I cannot remember what the machine is but it proves that flying tadpoles are nothing new. All that has changed is the construction methods and materials and the use of reliable engines.
