thank you for the comments.
I believe a 16 ship flypast has been pencilled in for the 15/16th of December

Is there any way of removing all the Harrier threads and not allowing any more? It is all far too depressing.

bloody discrace, i was stood on south shields pier as she left the tyne, a tear came to my eye, we headed back along the coast towards sunderland and we could just make her out on the horizon, through the buckets of rain, shame the weather wasnt better because then we might of saw the harriers leave

Very SAD DAY
As reported of Radio 4, the 4 Harriers caught by photo above are the LAST flight from a British carrier.
This is a very sad day.

Now there is a sight that will be missed. Good shots!
Perhaps you could think about the horizon? (picture 1 & 5)

Sad that its so near the end.
Does anyone know if there will be a final Harrier day…like the Lightnings at Binbrook. Probably not in view of the present financial mess. However, this era is not “my thing” but I undertook to ask on behalf of an ex Wattisham person.

I would have no problem freezing my … for some nice shots like these 🙂
The Harrier is entering the “rare birds” category so well done.
Thanks.
