2009 was a special year as Canada celebrated its centennial of powered flight – Canadaโs first successful controlled, heavier-than-air, powered flight took place on February 23, 1909 in Baddeck, Nova Scotia.
The Fall Air Show at Vintage Wings of Canada closes the season every year. It’s 2009 edition marked the occasion by showing off two jets with special 100th Anniversary paint schemes as well as their collection of warbirds.
I spent a great day, my eyes up in the sky but I still managed to bring back some nice memories.
Enjoy ๐

Cheers!

No shortage of Merlins. Must have been a good show.
It was a gorgeous day at this open-door event – the organizers didn’t call it officially an Air Show yet. And of course the sound of the Merlins was sweet.
